Elise Marie Hansen Is a Photographer and Mixed Media artist, born and raised in the bay area. After working for a year in a film developing lab, She strove to learn as much as she could about photography and art, and how these mediums interact with the the past through her interest in history, and with the future through her interest in digital art and technology.

Learning Adobe Suite tools like Adobe photoshop, Premiere pro, illustrator, lightroom, and more have enabled her to experiment widely with digital media- from making gifs to editing youtube videos.ALong with this, learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, as well as praciting figma has been instrumental in expanding her knowledge about how artists change and influence mediums as they develop, rather than the other way around.

Making art since her teenage years, ELise has also explored screenprinting, cross-stitching, sewing, jewelry making, and making mixed media collages. Having a wide pool of hands-on artistic practices enables her to pull from a variety of tactile experiences and envision many creative solutions that go outside the conventions of each medium and apply new rules to any project.

ELise is currently a senior at the university of California at Santa Cruz and is pursuing a ba in art, and aims to become a digital designer and artist who experiments with conventions and explores below the murky surfaces.
